A Woman In A River

Poetic Description:
Angel awaits his destiny
Patiently, readily,
Choosing empathy over material worth of it,
Tentatively switching identity
To the most suitable for the heavenly entity
He calls Astore.
The hawk – his teacher, his guide,
The knight of the lore –
Sails low, splitting the core
In two.
Perceived by only a few
The hawk sees all.
In the crack of the broken soul
He sees the wall -
The potential fall
Of the spirit so new, but so crude and obscured,
So driven into the nothingness of his own
Acceptability,
Which is cleared so zestfully, so passionately,
It denies the existence of flaws
Of any kind.
It agrees with no laws
That it’s meant to define.
Astore stays.
The Hawk expects
The wall to be broken
In minutes, hours, days.
Astore rejects
Any promises spoken
Until the Rays
Of Angel’s perfection fade.
Astore waits
Patiently, readily,
For the truth to pervade –
The truth of being not acceptable
But whole.
The value of being not indefectible
But susceptible
To the fall.
