Description: I took the photo because I loved the contrast between the buildings standing strong in the background, the decaying objects in front and the bridge stretching between the top and the bottom part of the composition. The photo symbolizes the transition between new and old, life and death, strength and decline. The photograph has an atmosphere of delight and optimism – it is a celebration of change. Here's one more thought. Maybe it can turn into one of those “what do you see first” images? If you see the buildings in the background – you are an optimist, the pile on the bottom – a pessimist, the bridge – a realist.
