Savani

Poetic Description:
My little girl,
Your soul –
The beautiful golden pearl
Is sheltered under the vastness of your innocence.
Your mind listens to,
Your heart loves all.
I asked many times, “why,
Savani, this world so unkind
To you,
To the children whose mind is obscured
By the shadows of bitterness,
Of pain and suffering
Of those who’d rather blame
An angel than face shuddering
Of their core,
Who’d rather kill the light
Than discover their demons?”
No, Savani, you are not on trial.
You shall never be punished
For who you are,
For where you’re coming from.
You shall never become an exile
In the land where you belong.
You are strong,
You’ve got what it takes.
No matter how long
You roam alone.
The blissfulness
Is imminent.
And, yes,
It is difficult
To imagine
That someone as different
As you are will win,
That someone as small
And seemingly insignificant
Has a potential to tear down ignorance
And make our world so much more
Magnificent.
