Description: These roses remind me of briars growing abundantly around apartment buildings in town where I grew up. Kids used to pick the fruit from the bushes and eat it. The fruit’s flesh was quite thin, but the children bit it off carefully and chewed it. It had a sweet-and-tart flavor. I call the image “Old Garden Rose” not necessarily because it is the official name of the plant (I am not sure if it is), but because of the nostalgic feeling I have while looking at them. I like the cozy and friendly appearance of the blossoms in the sunshine against the yellow brick wall. But what I love about the picture the most are the pleasant memories and emotions it evokes.
