"So… what are the Lucid Dreams again?"

"They are the dreams, Sam, in which a person knows that he is dreaming. If we are aware that we are dreaming, it makes it easier for us to control our dreams. Anybody can learn how to do it."

"Anybody? Really?"

"Yes, Sam, anybody, even you."

"Why are you always so sure that humans possess some hidden powers, that they absolutely have to discover!"

"They don't have to, Sam, but they can."

"And how do you know that?"

Sam wonders, if Mary, with her extensive knowledge of human nature, can see that he is testing her. He hopes she can see it, but she does not. In her confident gaze there is an assurance that she truly knows. She puts her gentle little hand on her chest as if she's about to say something undeniable.

"I know!"

"If you feel it, it doesn't mean you know it", Sam wishes he could say. Mary is certain she has just won the argument, the argument that has only existed in her own mind. - "Entering The Silence",  The Battles Of The Soul book series by © Liudmila Maksimovskaya NIKOXXII
